Full upright rider stance and genuine motocross-bred aggression goes street specific with the exhilarating WR250X. A high-tech fuel-injected four-valve with precise throttle response and a spicy powerband all the way to 10,000 rpm. Rolling on 17-inch wheels with a 298mm front disc, the WR250X boasts a taut and scalpel-sharp feel for inch-perfect line selection, while stiff front and rear springs and street-oriented damping settings reduce pitch for superb pavement performance.
Pent roof combustion chamber with downdraft-type straight intake helps make excellent power across the rev band, with maximum power at 10,000 rpm.
An ECU-controlled EXUP exhaust valve, along with an electronic intake control valve, broadens the powerband.
One-tooth smaller rear sprocket compared to ‘R’ model (13/42) works with the smaller diameter tyres for strong acceleration.
Asymmetrical swingarm provides excellent strength/rigidity balance and a dynamic look. Cast aluminium cross members, extruded arms and a 22mm rear axle are carefully tuned for optimum handling.
Fully adjustable 46mm fork provides 270mm of wheel travel. A forged lower triple clamp and a cast upper one help give outstanding front-end feel. An aluminium steering stem reduces weight.
Linkage-mounted rear shock with 265mm of travel and adjusters for compression damping, rebound damping and spring preload - and features a 14mm rod and 46mm cylinder for excellent damping and fade resistance.
Fuel injected, 250cc liquid-cooled, DOHC engine with two titanium intake valves and two steel exhausts, forged piston and plated cylinder for outstanding durability.
17-inch wheels mount radial street rubber in 110mm front and 140mm rear widths and help lower the seat approximately 35mm compared to the off-road WR250R.
YZ/WR250-inspired semi-double-cradle frame uses a main frame of cast and forged aluminium sections, with high-strength steel downtube for excellent strength and rigidity characteristics.
